Pretzels and guacamole

Summer is finally here, which means you’ll soon be having a lot of laughs, drinks, and — most importantly — eats. Here are a few awesome veggie dips you can make that are not only healthy, but incredibly delectable snacks to enjoy outside while the weather’s nice.

A Pineapple-Black Bean Guacamole.

Pineapple-black bean guac is probably one of the best, fresh guacamole dip recipes around. To make this awesome veggie dip, you need two medium avocados, a quarter-cup of salsa verde, one tablespoon of sour cream, half a cup of crushed pineapple, half a cup of canned black beans, a fresh, minced jalapeno, two tablespoons of chopped red onion, two tablespoons of chopped cilantro, one tablespoon of minced garlic, one tablespoon of lime juice, a quarter-teaspoon of salt, a quarter-teaspoon of ground cumin, and a quarter-cup of shredded Monterey jack. Mash the avocados in a big bowl, throw in the salsa and the sour cream, and combine. Then, stir in the rest, and serve your awesome veggie dip.

Sun-Dried Tomato Yogurt Dip.

Who doesn’t love a veggie dip made with sun-dried tomato? Just grab three-quarters of a cup of sun-dried tomatoes packed in olive oil, a cup of plain Greek yogurt, a quarter cup of chopped basil, two tablespoons of chopped red onion, and some salt and pepper. Blend it all together, salt and pepper to taste, and serve.

Garlic White Bean Dip.

For a more savory veggie dip, try making a garlic white bean dip. You’ll need a 15-ounce can of white beans, a quarter-cup of olive oil, four sliced cloves of garlic, a quarter-teaspoon of salt, one-eighth of a teaspoon of ground black pepper, a quarter-cup of chopped basil, one teaspoon of olive oil, and pinch of crushed red pepper. Blend the white beans, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper together, and then drizzle in olive oil until it’s the consistency you’d like. Add the basil, red pepper, and some more olive oil. Then serve your veggie dip to your hungry friends.

These are just some of the awesome veggie dips you can make this summer. If you know any other recipes, share them in the comments!
