How to Make Lettuce Wraps

Lettuce wraps with fresh guacamole are delicious, healthy, and — best of all — easy to make. Here’s how you can whip up these delicious snacks.

Get What You’re Going to Need. – To make some delicious lettuce wraps, you’re going to need two very ripe avocados, three diced tomatoes, half of a diced jalapeno, two tablespoons of diced red onion, three minced cloves of fresh garlic, a quarter of a cup of chopped fresh cilantro, an ear’s worth of corn kernels, two teaspoons of lime juice, and eight large leaves of romaine lettuce, or the lettuce of your choice. Butter lettuce or red lettuce work quite nicely as lettuce wraps, too.

Making the Guacamole. – Before you can make lettuce wraps with fresh guacamole dips, you’re going to need to make some. Take the avocado — the most integral of all your guacamole ingredients — and mash it up using a fork, which works best. Don’t mash it up too much, though, otherwise it won’t be chunky. Then, add the tomatoes, jalapeno, red onion, garlic, cilantro, corn, and lime juice. Stir it up until it’s well mixed, and there you have your guacamole.

Put the Guac in the Lettuce. – Now, last but not least, it’s time to actually assemble the lettuce wraps. All you have to do is put the guacamole in the lettuce leaves, and wrap them. Most importantly of all, enjoy!

Other Ideas. – What’s great about these amazing, healthy snacks is that you can also add other things to them if you want. Some people like to chop up bacon and put it in their guacamole, while others like to dice up some grilled chicken breasts, and throw that in there. Really, your options are as limited as your imagination (and your palette).

And there you have it folks. To make these awesome, healthy snacks in no time at all, just whip up some guac, and spread it in some lettuce leaves. That’s it. That’s all it takes!
