Three Ingredients You Never Would Have Thought to Add to Guacamole

Natural guacamole

If you want to make your fresh guacamole dips more enticing and delicious, consider switching up your guacamole ingredients. Why stick to the same-old-same-old, basic guacamole recipe, when you can get weird with it. Experiment with it. Try out some new ideas with it.

Here are just a few interesting things you can add to your fresh guacamole to shake things up a bit.

Sour Cream.

If you want to make truly unforgettable, fresh guacamole, then consider adding sour cream to the mix, and while you’re at it, throw in some mild salsa, garlic powder, cumin, and just a half ounce of tequila, and you’ve got yourself one of the most tweaked out, scrumptious guacamoles of all time.

Cheese.

Cheese literally makes everything better, so much so that it’s almost a scientific fact. When making your guacamole, take about eight ounces of fresh cheddar cheese for every one and a half avocados use, and add it in. Throw in some cayenne, cumin, chili powder, and garlic powder, and you won’t even need anything else. Well, maybe some red onion, but that’s up to you.

BLT.

The BLT is easily one of the most delectable sandwiches of all time, so why not fuse it with guacamole to make the ultimate party dip!? Just take a bunch of bacon, a couple avocados, two teaspoons of hot sauce, half a cup of mayo, some tomatoes, and a bit of lime juice, and you’ve just made yourself a BLT guacamole.

Now, keep in mind that although there are several health benefits of guacamole, adding sour cream, cheese, and/or bacon to it will make your fresh guacamole dips a little less than nutritional. That being said, you deserve a delicious, savory treat!
